Cross-Country Cupcake Crawl!

Some of our more diligent readers may have noticed that my cupcakeconsumption over the past several weeks has droppedsignificantly.  I've intentionally been restraining myself inpreparation for:

The 1st(Annual?) CupcakeFetish Cross Country CupcakeCrawl!
The fun started thismorning when I flew out to LA to meet Baron. Over the next eight dayswe will be driving from Los Angeles back to Pittsburgh stopping atapproximately thirty cupcakeries along the way.  Based on ourexperience doing a cupcake crawl of London, we have enactedthe following three rules:
  • We may only purchase twocupcakes from each shop
  • We may only eat a maximumof one cupcake every two hours
  • Whenever possible wewill purchase one vanilla/chocolate cupcake to serve as abaseline
Our busiest day will be Friday when wevisit nine cupcakeries, and our slowest day will be Wednesday when weonly visit one.  Because we can only eat one cupcake every twohours, there will be times where we'll have a fairly long "cupcakequeue."  Thanks to some super helpful advice from Melisser Ipurchased a Wilton 3-IN-1 Cake Caddy to hold all ofthe cupcakes that are waiting to be eaten.

Staytuned to read about our cross-country cupcake adventures! Baron and I will try to blog from the road as much aspossible.  Keep your fingers crossed that we won't hit anytraffic or closed roads -- some of our windows of opportunity arereally tight!
