Faux Cupcakes

I saw these "cupcakes" in a department store in Tokyo last December.  I was wandering around the housewares floor when I spied the display case across the room.  At first I thought it was a bit weird that they'd be selling baked goods in the housewares department, especially at 10pm, but I was so excited about sampling Japanese cupcakes that I didn't think too much about it.  It was only when I had my nose a foot from the display case that I realized they weren't real cupcakes.  Sad!
