Today we attempted to visit Extraordinary Desserts in San Diego, an extremely popular late-night dessert hot spot. (At one point while we were there the line snaked out of the side door, through the patio, and down the sidewalk.) By the time we got to the head of the line at 9pm they had already sold out of cupcakes. The trip, however, was definitely worth it owing to the extremely hot emo waiters. I settled for a cup of Valrhona hot chocolate which was a bit too bitter for my taste, but I didn't really notice it (or the 80s techno remix that didn't exactly match the zen-like asian decor) as I was too busy staring at the hot waiters. The decadent desserts are gorgeous and tasty -- the only downside to this place is that it makes me feel like a dirty lecherous old woman.
